Tordesillas, 1453-Cardeñosa, 1468
He was born in 1453, in the today-disappeared palace of Tordesillas. His parents were Juan II de Castilla and his second wife Isabel de Portugal. He was the youngest brother of Isabel la Católica. Due to his step-brother's Henry IV weak character, the king himself declared Infante D. Alfonso the heir to the throne.
Later he was used by nobility and proclaimed king after the degradation of Enrique IV in the "Farsa de Ávila" (Farce of Ávila) (1465), that resulted in a civil war and his death in 1468 in Cardeñosa (province of Avila).
