Description
On the origin of the current bridge there is no reference at all, neither dates, nor authors. The lancet arches indicate that it has medieval origin. It is a great ashlar work and has ten spans. Between the arches, it has triangular ground plan cutwaters.
It is known that there was a bridge in the Xth Century. However, the current structure was originated from a deep remodelling in the XVth Century. The strong runnings forced to its consolidation.
The town and its bridge were obliged passages that linked the northwest with the center of the peninsula. At the same time, it made easier crossing the wide and plentiful river.
